I installed 5.5.2 because of the security advisory, but I can't use Confluence without the source editor, which is apparently incompatible with 5.5.2. When will it be updated? If it's almost ready I won't bother switching to 5.4.4.
It's ridiculous that this isn't in the base feature set.
FYI -- we've got the source editor installed on 5.5, and it seems to work fine, regardless of the message that it isn't compatible.
Interesting. I'll keep that in mind next time I see such a message.
On the plus side, I took advantage of re-reinstalling to switch from MySQL to PostgreSQL.

Have you tried manually downloading it and installing it? It probably isn't incompatible. The marketplace requires the plugin developers to go back in and specify that their plugin works with the most recent version. If the API's used have not changed typically the add ons still work ... even though the developer hasn't explicitly stated as much. Try manually downloading it and installing it. Then test it out. I bet it still works just fine.

Yes, I downloaded the .jar, installed it, and got a message that it was incompatible before posting here.
I've switched to 5.4.4 and applied the patch. Maybe this will teach me to check plugin compatibility next time.

The incompatible message I believe is due to the new Universal Plugin Manager. I've seen some of my plugins says incompatible in the plugin manager even though they still work just fine.
