When will the Confluence Server Rest API have the same capability as the cloud version.

Carl Dorbeus November 15, 2018

Currently I am missing Some capabilities in the server version that exist in the cloud version.

e.g Removing history.

And why is the documentation between the two so different. Why cant you follow the same template. The cloud version of the documentation is much better.

And you should clarify on each API command which versions is supported, it is easy to missed when coming to the page from a google search result.

Hi Carl,

Confluence Cloud and Confluence Server are two separate applications. This is the reason that some features are not available in Confluence Server or vice versa.

I would recommend that if you ever happen upon a feature that does exist in Cloud but not in Server that you require, raise a feature request for it. You can do so by clicking Create at the top of that page.

This can also be done if you notice that some documentation is not clear or is missing any information.

Thank you for all your help in improving our products for the better!

Take care,

Shannon
