Where archive space gets stored

Dear support,

We are going to archive some spaces/pages in our confluence instance.

I have seen that when a space is archives, we can access it from the archive tab menu.

We have a backup process policiy using Avamar tool where we need to be sure those those archives gets backuped. In order to get get that backup succesfull could you please informed where those archives gets store physically in the instance ?

Is is all store in database ?
Is store as system files in particular location ?

Archived spaces are stored in the database the same active pages are stored. The difference is that archived pages are not scanned by the syncrony service so they won't be picked up by searches or available in the list of spaces.
