This article describes how to set default classification
https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/set-a-default-classification-level-for-content/
As admin I cannot find the setting under space settings.
@Adam Bang According to the Confluence Pricing page (https://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence/pricing), Data Classification requires an Atlassian Guard Premium subscription. I didn't find this mentioned in a single one of the documentation pages describing this feature in Confluence, but this may be why you are not seeing it in the Space Settings page.
I found it mentioned in the Who can do this? box on this page: https://support.atlassian.com/security-and-access-policies/docs/create-a-classification-level/

Hi Adam, welcome to the Community! 😊
If you're looking to set up classification levels and restrict access based on those levels, the Compliance for Confluence app can help. It allows you to define classification levels, manage permissions, and ensure only the right people access sensitive content.
Plus, it can automatically detect sensitive information (like PII) to help with GDPR compliance and other regulations. Let me know if you’d like more details! We will be happy to do a demo for you, just book it here - https://www.appfox.io/book-a-demonstration/.

Hi @Adam Bang
First, ensure you have the necessary space admin permissions to access the setting. Next, check if classification levels have been established for your organization, as this may impact visibility. Additionally, confirm that you're using Confluence Cloud, as this feature may not be compatible with other versions.
To utilize data classification features, please verify that your organization has Atlassian Guard premium enabled, as this is a prerequisite for accessing these capabilities.
Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards
