Whether the viewport link will change once we delete and create it again?

Mekala Ramasamy August 9, 2023

I restructured a document based on a format and kept its original copy out of home page tree, so that users will see updated document only. Only space admins can go to reorder pages and see the hidden pages. These all were smooth.

But the problem is I have deleted viewport view using the Space Tools ->Apps->Delete Viewport in a plan to stick with confluence as viewport doesn't help to reflect the confluence layout as it as.

Due to some issues, I created viewport again and shared the link. Surprised to see the old and new viewport links are different.

I am confused becoz new viewport link takes Space key in its new URL but the old one doesn't have space key which is replaced by some other keyword it seems (dont know exactly ).

Example:

old URL:  https://....................//docs//dare//pagename, where am not sure about "//doc//dare//" in the URL

New URL:  https://.....................//daret//pagename-pageid.html, where daret is the space key name

Please anyone help to solve this issue and this is very urgent.

Hi Mekala,

take a look at our documentation: https://help.k15t.com/scroll-viewport-data-center/2.22.0/configure-scroll-viewport#id-(2.22.0)ConfigureScrollViewport-ConfiguretheViewportURL

You can find the setting in Space Tools -> Apps -> Configure (right side of the chosen Viewport) -> URL. Try setting the path naming to "Hierarchical". You can also change the path name if that has changed.

Don't hesitate to reach out if there is anything else.

Cheers!
