Hi,

I'm facing an issue with Confluence Whiteboards on our Standard plan.

I tried to create a fourth whiteboard and, as expected, hit the plan's limit. This caused one of my whiteboards to become read-only. To resolve this, I deleted one of the other whiteboards to bring our total count back down to three.

However, the whiteboard that became read-only is still stuck in read-only mode, and I cannot edit it. I expected it to become editable again automatically.

Is there a specific action I need to take to make it editable again, or is there a delay before the system recognizes the change?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hey Ryo,

Greetings !! I hope you are doing well.

I understand you are facing an issue with the standard plan limit for the whiteboard :

Yes, your understanding is correct on the Confluence Cloud Standard plan; the main limits for whiteboards are:

  • Active whiteboards: Each user can have up to three active whiteboards. If you create more than three, only your last three created boards will remain editable; the rest become read-only.

  • Board permissions: You get granular control over whiteboard permissions, similar to other Confluence content.

If your issue is still unresolved, feel free to raise ticket for further investigation.

Regards,

Tanya
