Why am I getting prompts from Confluence to allow/deny read/write access in JIRA?

Hello Team,

@atlassian  we need your answer as soon as possible , because our team is blocked

IT doesn't happen often, but once in a while, my users are getting a security prompt when clicking on a link in Confluence that points to JIRA.

The prompts says:

"The application Confluence would like to have read and write access to your data on jira.  The application wil be allowed to use your credentials to authenticate <user_name> as you in the future"  
Then the choice is allow or deny.

Why doesn't this happen sporadically and where can I manage those settings or set a global "allow"?

is your Jira still on Server or Cloud?

How often do your users have to reauthenticate against your instances, in other words: what's the session length?
