Why are users being removed and reset?

Almost all of our users have been remove and back in the confluence database. We use LDAP/AD to maintain group membership. Starting on Friday we started having users, including myself, be removed from Confluence. When they are able to login once again, they are not in any of the groups they were in before.

I have opened a ticket with Atlassian as well. Just hoping for a cure ASAP to get users back to work.
