Why does the Excerpt Include macro without the surrounding panel only wrap the first paragraph?

Hello,

While working with the Excerpt Include Macro I noticed that when there is a surrounding Panel, the content of the excerpt is inside a <div> container, that shows what part of the Page content is from the excerpt. worksWithPanel.png

When selecting the Parameter "Remove Surrounding Panel" from the Excerpt Include macro, the panel is removed and so is the div which indicated what content is from the Excerpt. In the Image below you can see that the first paragraph "Hello there" of the Excerpt Content is wrapped in a <span> that  contains the class "data-macro-name= 'excerpt include'". The other paragraphs are not wrapped in a span, so you can't tell if they were in the excerpt or not.

I guess this isn't the intended behavior. Why aren't all of them wrapped in a span, or still in a <div> container without the actual UI Panel? How I know afterwards what part of the page comes from an excerpt?

Thank you
