After every server startup, a full synch of a LDAP directory is triggered.
As this causes many different issues in our large scale environment, I'd really like to find out why this is done at all. What is a full synch after server startup required for? All information about remote directory is cached in DB, so why doing a full synch again only because server is restarted?
Any answers are greatly appreciated :-)
Yes, we do have "Incremental Synchronisation" enabled. And this is working fine. At every specified interval an incremental synch is done. I am still wondering why full synch is happening after server startup.
Hi, in later versions of Confluence there is an advanced setting for "Enable Incremental Synchronisation" that works with your LDAP directory. Without this option, it always does a full synch at regular intervals. Do you have this enabled?
Without it there is no way to tell and will do a full synch.
