Why is 'useNestedGroups' disabled in Confluence when 'Use Nested Groups' is enabled in Crowd

Hack Vogel May 8, 2019 edited

Hi,

We are having a problem with users getting 'Page not found' when they click on a link within a blog post sent via email notification.

There are no page restrictions in the Confluence space.

Space permissions are set for 2 groups. One group contains only individual users and the other group contains 5 nested groups.

The group which contains individual users have no problem seeing the page(s) when they click on the links.

The group which contains the 5 nested groups have the View and Add Comments permissions and receive the 'Page not found' when they click on the links.

When I look at the group(s) in Crowd, everything is as expected.

When I look at that same group(s) in Confluence there are no members for the group which contains (or should contain) 5 nested groups.

I reviewed the 'Use Nested Groups' for the directory in Crowd to ensure it was checked.

I then reviewed the 'Display Configuration Summary' for the directory in Confluence and it states "useNestedGroups": "false"

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
