When I try to edit an office document, I see the Office splash screan followed closely by an error window titled, "Microsoft Word Security Warning". "Certificate error. The application experienced an internal error loading the SSL libraries."
Only an OK to cose the window. Doc does not load. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Todd,
Currently Office 2016 is not supported in the Edit in Office feature, but we do have a feature request ongoing for this: CONFSERVER-38024
However, I have found a workaround on a 3rd party site that may help you with this issue. Have a look at that and see if you're able to edit your registry in order to work with Office 2016. You can also see the details from Microsoft regarding the same error, but in Office 2013.
Let us know if you have any trouble!
Kind Regards,
Shannon
Hi Shannon,
It doesn't look like this issue is being actively worked on or even assigned to anyone to work. Being that we're getting towards the end of 2017, do you know when we can expect to have compatibility with Office 2016.
Thanks,
Todd

Hi Todd,
Although the feature request is a couple years old, it is currently in its initial stages of being considered. If you haven't before, you can read more information about which features we choose to implement: Implementation of New Features Policy
You can still go ahead and try the workarounds I listed above, and see if there's a way around the error. Feel free to let us know in the community if you run into any issues or have any questions regarding this.
Kind Regards,
Shannon
