can I use the '-' sign to exclude labels in the 'Restrict to label(s)' field?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Livesearch Macro

I want to provide a Livesearch macro for my users from which they can look up information.

But i want the result to be confined to pages with certain labels, even exclude pages with certain labels (in this case i normally have to use the '-' sign in front of the label). But i have the impression that the latter is not working in the Livesearch macro

For instance, I used the following string of labels: vereiste,-test,-overbodig,-handleiding,-on-hold

So I expect the search results to include all pages having the 'vereiste' label, but to exclude those that also contain one of the labels 'test', 'overbodig', 'handleiding' OR 'on-hold'.

What am I doing wrong?
