confluence installation

is confluence tar.gz file bundled with java, tomcat and postgres jdbc driver or connector.

can we use the tar.gz file for 64 bit servers or do we have separate archive for 64 bit

yes, it does and I'd suggest to use the installer whenever it's possible. It's a lot easier.

HI @Padmasree P

You need to install Oracle Java and the external database (if you are installing this for production) otherwise you can use the HSQL database for evaluation but you don't need to install tomcat.
