confluence restoring backup file on Staging evironment

Anudeep Gudipelli May 16, 2018

Hi All,

We are migrating one instance to another confluence instance, I took the backup file from the old instance (btw we use crowd for user management) so I create a user in confluence user management. I installed the same confluence version of the backup instance and able to login. From the administrative section I  tried to upload the backup file and it was successful. When I try to access the site spaces and personal spaces, it shows me epty, pleases see the images attached. From the administrative section I see that they are 30 site spaces and 19 private spaces.

Any help?

I tried restating the service. I marked spaces as favorite from the home, I can see only them and don't see page number or next option.

Thank you,

The Space directory depends on the content index. Please try reindexing from this guide: Content Index Administration and if that doesn't work, rebuilding the content indexes from scratch as described in How to Rebuild the Content Indexes From Scratch on Confluence Server.

I look forward to hearing if the spaces show as expected afterward. It sounds like you definitely imported the content if you are seeing the spaces in the admin console, so I am optimistic that the reindex will fix it.
