hi All,
I have a page in confluence with mulitple tabs. whenever I copy this page it tells cant copy page with the same tab name.So when i give title, it appends that title in all new tabs in new page.
I dont want this to happen.Any work around is there for this?
Regards,
Divya
When you say 'tabs' do you mean child pages? Because Confluence does not allow any two pages to have the same name. See this post for example: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Not-able-to-create-a-page-with-the-same-title-as-another-page/qaq-p/332910
But then again I am not completely sure if that is what you were referring to. Can you maybe include a screenshot?
I mean , i have on page like
A1 B1 C1 D1 ----> all are tabs ---this is main page
on click of A1 tab I see - > P1 P2 P3 P4 and so on......P1 to P4 are again tabs which are child pages
when I copy main page , one pop up came to include child pages , I said yes
And then I gave "starts title with" as 10/02/2019
Then what it did was it copied, but the page came as
10/02/2019 A1 10/02/2019 B1 10/02/2019 C1 10/02/2019 D1
Under 10/02/2019 A1 I got
10/02/2019 P1 10/02/2019 P2 10/02/2019 P3 10/02/2019 P4
All tabs are appended with title what I give .....I dont want to change tab names
Is these something I can do?

Alright, I think this is indeed due to what I mentioned before: No two items in Confluence can have the same name. This is due to the search functionality. So each tab name has to be unique, because otherwise you couldn't differentiate between them in in a search. That is why when you copy the entire structure every part of that structure gets a different name than the original.
Check out the link I posted above, I believe that person had a similar issue and there were several helpful suggestions as well.
