create a new user macro

I'm trying to create a new user macro using the following online help article https://confluence.atlassian.com/conf614/writing-user-macros-965546185.html but under the 'general configuration' settings there's no User Macros option for me

Am I missing something or does it require some other subscription plan?

I am guessing you are on Confluence Cloud, not server?

If that is the case, then you can't do user macros on Cloud, it's a restricted function (i.e. atlassian support only)
