Did you mean:

customize default "Include a message" in Share page

Ste DB March 22, 2018

Hi.

I just upgraded Confluence from version 5.10 to version 6.6.

The new version shows 2 main differences about "Share" button:

  1. when you click "Share", a message like "Take a look at this page" appears by default in the "Include a message" area. The same area was void in version 5.10.
Since I frequently use Share button and don't want to change this message every single time, is it possible to change default message? How?

  2. Now, a new "View Page" button appears in the email received by the 'Share' procedure.
In the mail text, since ever, page title is already shown as link, so that button seems like a useless double.
Is it possible to hide "View Page" button? How?

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

Hi @Ste DB,

Specifically for your first question, I believe you may modify this message by modifying the following parameters in your messages.properties of the responsible plugin - <Confluence-Installation>/confluence/WEB-INF/atlassian-bundled-plugins/share-page-6.1.2.jar (this is the plugin version in my local Confluence 6.6.3 instance)

- share.dialog.message.placeholder.page

- share.share.empty.comment.page

(!) Please do take note that you'd also need to unpack the plugin JAR file first to modify these parameters.

I'll update this post again should I find the answer for your second question :)

Cheers
