UKSecurityEngineering August 28, 2018

Can I copy the database connector from my Jira instance and place it in my confluence installation?

If both databases run the same version (ie: MySQL 5.7) then the connector can safely be copied from one instance to the other.

A restart of Confluence will be required for the connector to be detected.

I ended up setting confluence up with postgreSQL.  I couldn't get confluence to play nice with the mysql DB.  I didn't set up the Jira, but it was using MariaDB and Confluence didn't seem to like MariaDB.  Atlassian states on their site that they don't support MariaDB.  So I gave up and used PostgreSQL.

I will one day get around to redoing both instances in a more appropirate configuration.

Thank you!
