date trigger in a page

Is there a way to add a date field to a page that will trigger an alert to a user when the date is passed? Many times we have a lot of pages in different stages of construction and I need to be able to allocate an action to someone with a due date. We do not want to do it in Jira as this is overkill for what I need.

As i known this is not available in Confluence. There is a feature request you can vote.
