# Having difficulties inserting Youtube into confluence page using widget connector
I'm trying to insert youtube into confluence page (Chrome)
I followed the steps below.
===============================
From the editor toolbar, choose Insert > Other Macros.
Choose Widget Connector from the Media category.
Enter the URL you want to display.
Choose Insert.
===============================
However, when i clicked insert button.. nothing happens in my page ..
Using https rather than http in my url doesnt work as well...
(I can only use chrome browser)
When you paste the URL in you are taking the one directly out of the browser and not using a share URL. Also what happens when you hit preview?
I tested on Chrome and it is working on my instance. You can see the preview and when I insert it the page looks like this.
Here is what it looks like before it is posted.
After I save it then it looks like the same as the preview. Are you seeing any error in the logs? Have you cleared your browsers cache yet?
I can see the preview page like above with preview image, but after i click the insert button.. nothing happens... its driving me crazy
maybe I shoud clear my browser cache.. but don't know how
Thank you for reply btw

Do you have access to a different browser or computer with Chrome?

I communicated with our IT Team and they gave me an alternative solution below.
1. insert vimeo video URL (anything)
: vimeo works well...
2. edit - open in source editor (<>)
3. replace vimeo URL with Youtube URL ..
