export to pdf with macros using AUI does not render correctly

I have written macro that use AUI elements (forms, checkboxes, dropdown etc..)

The macro works great and renders the AUI elements nicely on the screen (and also browser print)

However Exporting pages with this content to Word or PDF is just horrible. It is not formatted, all the hidden/controls/options are printed when they should be hidden.

Is there something I need to load in order for the AUI elements to export correctly?

Hello Chris,

Exporting Confluence pages to PDF with customized content can sometimes be tricky depending on what you’re exporting and if there are any stylesheets applied to the exporter. Additionally, as content changes and the product is updated there may be further issues with exports. While you may customize the PDF exporter using stylesheets, the easier option would be to adopt the use of an app which allows for more flexibility in doing this. We would suggest reviewing the marketplace and testing out a few apps to better suit your PDF export needs. Here is a preset search of Atlassian Marketplace | PDF Export | Confluence Server.
