failed to import images and shapes from Word files.

I am importing word documents but images and shapes are not getting imported. I have observed that svg format images and shapes are successfully imported. I have lots of images and shapes in the document and i cannot convert it manually. I have used macros but unable to solve the issue as i am not an expert in macros. Python adds a dependency and i cannot use it because the organisation won't allow.
