getting error "This page has failed to load"

When I try to edit a confluence document I'm getting error "This page has failed to load" and "Error details: failed to fetch". I have noticed it's been getting slower and slower the more I edit the document. Is this a common occurrence?

Having this exact problem now... brand new user of Confluence... first ever document created... and now I can't edit it. Marvellous.

This is the 3rd time in a month we've had this issue at least. Don't how common it normally is.
