Hi All,
I am having trouble with the default dashboard configuration using Refinedwiki.
So I created a dashboard layout within the Refinedwiki configuration in confluence admin, but it's not appearing as the dashboard layout for users when they login. What it IS showing is MY dashboard that I have configured when I am logged in (as admin).
And if I choose to “revert back to the default settings” from my dashboard, it doesn’t actually even default back to the layout which I setup as the default configuration the Refinedwiki.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Alicia
Hi Alicia,
Are you sure you are editing the correct dashboard? You mention that you created the dashboard layout from Confluence Admin, but the global dashboard (i.e. the dashboard that can be found on the "front page" for every each user when they log in) is actually edited from the dashboard. See the attached screenshot:
The global user dashboard however (which is edited in confluence admin), controls the dashboards found on each users profile. (Like this one for example: http://demo.refinedwiki.com/users/view-user-dashboard.action?username=emil)
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Best Regards,
Andreas
Hi,
Yes this has cleared things up for me, thanks. I think the problem is (and I know this is a confluence problem, not a refinedwiki problem specifically), is that admins see the "edit dashboard" on the main dashboard and think that they are just editing for themselves, nut in fact it affects everyones dashboard. Any idea how to turn that off (without taking admin rights away from them)?
Thanks,
Alicia

Hi again,
Unfortunately no, there is no feature to turn that off.

Ok cool, thanks for your help. I may look into hiding the dashboard edit button in CSS.
