how can I align a table?

I have inserted a table in a column and have tried to align it using both options below. The CSS code aligns the table in the editor but not in the live view. Does anyone know if I can align the table and how?

Thanks Charles for the guidance - I ended up using the "align" macro for this one task. Will send info to the administrator on the Adpativist content macro.
