Hi,
we are using Confluence for a big part to administer to-do-list for internal and external team members - so we work with tasks.
Many of our team members reported that already completed (check-box marked) tasks seem to re-appear as incomplete (not checked) when the program is opened again.
This can be very confusing with long to-do lists.
Anybody has an idea what to do?
Thank you so much!
Best,
Yvonne
Hello Yvonne,
Welcome to Atlassian Community! It's nice to have you.
I'm aware of an issue where if someone edits a page shortly after (or while) checking off a task, it won't save properly:
I would recommend having your colleagues make sure not to edit the page shortly after or while checking off a task, and see if the issue improves. In addition, if you notice any other circumstance under which this occurs, please let me know!
Regards,
Shannon
Hello Shannon,
same situation here.
We work with large projects with dozens of tasks each. Not a day goes by when tasks that have long been completed are open again. There are 5 colleagues working in the team and everyone reports this problem daily.
I am shocked that this problem has apparently been known for years and nothing is done. You have to spend time every day researching whether an open task is actually open. For a product of this price range, I would have expected a quick and competent solution.
Regards,
Volker

Hello Shannon,
I am also experiencing this issue. Before it was sporadic but now it is consistent and I am not even editing the page! Just trying to check off an action item (and I have tried leaving it alone for several minutes before reloading, or navigating to another page, both have resulted in the same thing -- the checkbox displaying empty when I go back to the page).
Shocked is the right word.
Regards,
Natalie
