how to push docker image to nexus registry

The default docker task option says push to docker registry , Cant we push the docker image to private registry like nexus, where can we add .dockercfg config , do we have to add insecure registry in bamboo too ? if so where and how to do it.

The questions may be too basic, but am a beginner in bamboo , your response is highly appreciated.
