if a page is formatted with headings and tables is it easier to find ?

I am trying to find out how the search might work on documents with headings and tables and other format features. 

Does the search have a preference over a page that uses the headings format on a page as to a page with no headings and using just paragraph to format a heading ?

I am trying to improve a) how we format our documents, and b) the findability of the document.

If a document is formatted 'correctly' does it stand a greater chance of being found? .

I don't see any options in advanced search to filter for H1 etc. so I would assume page content is treated as text. But labels and good title can be used to narrow down the search.

Thanks for that answer , now I am wondering, if by Content, table of contents? I am probably clutching at straws here lol. I was under the impression that the more formatted pages were being found quicker but it's probably because they are newer.
