is there a way to add the author of the comment to a "resolved inline comment" email notification?

Alex Vorobiev October 29, 2018

Once an inline comment is resolved, followers receive an email notification which looks like this:

As you can see, the name of the person who resolved the comment is there, but the author of the original comment is not included.  Is this configuration-driven, or missing from Confluence altogether?

Hi, Alex.

I can confirm that the notification for resolved inline comments only highlights the user who  resolve them but it does not include the author of the comment while I had this tested on Confluence Cloud.

The email template for events in Confluence Cloud is not configurable, so I would say that it is a missing feature altogether.

I went ahead and created the following Suggestion to address this concern to the dev team:

I encourage you to visit the suggestion page linked above and click the Vote and Watch links near the top right to show support for the feature. By doing this, it will ensure you are proactively informed of progress and updates going forward. Feel free to share any additional feedbacks that you have in the ticket as well.

Let me know if you have any other concerns and I will be happy to assist.
