losing anchor

I have attached anchors within a document and it is working fine, However, I have imported a new document to replace the existing, and now the anchor just leads to the document, not the area that was modifed (where the anchor was placed).

Importing a new document would overwrite the entire old one. So it makes sense that the anchors no longer work. What are you importing from? Try adding the anchors into the source document.
