more than one confluence instance

is it possible to add a secondary Confluence instance to the mix, so that Service Desk knowledge base can tap into it?

we have a Jira Service Desk & Confluence Cloud pair instance today, but we want the Service Desk knowledge base to tap into a secondary instance of Confluence to retrieve its data (wish we didn't .. but Service Desk "Knowledge base" isn't working for our documentation distribution needs, and the transparent 'activity feed' in Confluence cloud is a security issue for us - so we need to separate it from our internal instance)

I do not believe you can do it withe the same sub-domain name. But you could create a second sub-domain for your second site and do it that way. Your users can be associated with both sites. One cloud login is able to be mapped to multiple sites.
