If I try to use the Move function to add a stand-alone page as a child page of another page, but , I get a duplicate name error, even though I cannot find the duplicated name at any level in the target or the source.
If I try to use the Copy function, it appears to work, but the target page is unaffected
What am I missing?
In some versions of Confluence the space trash has caused this. If there was a trashed page with the same name you would get that error. The fix was to purge the page from the trash. If that is not the case check to make sure you don't have a page with the same name that is sitting outside you navigation hierarchy. To check that go to space tools -> reorder pages
Davin, thanks for such a fast response! Quick question -- where is the trash folder?
