Hello,
I've been looking unsuccessfully for an alternative to the https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/confluence.extra.noemailstorm extension by Stiltsoft, which helps avoid mail spam creation through frequent Save actions on watched pages.
The Plugin would be a very nice solution but the problem is that it only runs with the Speakeasy Plugin installed, but according to https://developer.atlassian.com/display/DOCS/Speakeasy#Speakeasy-What%27sthecatch?:
we do not recommend that you run Speakeasy on a publicly accessible Atlassian application.
Any ideas anyone perhaps?
That being said I'm astonished that Atlassian doesn't introduce such an obvious and longstanding UX improvement on their own.
Cheers,
Martin
Why don't you just take the javascript in the single file in that plugin, wrap it in script tags and put it in your announcement banner?
It's the same solution as I wrote here: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/12799/usability-of-minor-change-checkbox
Or you could turn it into a proper plugin with by changing scoped-web-resource to web-resource in the plugin.xml (not tested).
