Did you mean:

replicate confluence content to another instance

Ben Arundel May 3, 2018

Hi

I want to know if its possible to on a schedule copy/ recreate a confluence page(s) from a cloud instance to a locally installed instance.

The reason for this is a requirement to present public documents but lock down by an IP range.

I have tried a number of export HTML plugins but I have found you lose the native links macros etc.

I'm not holding off any hope for CLOUD-2636 6 years and no progress, If I dont find a solution we will be moving away from confluence.

Any and all advice welcome.

Hi Ben!

There's not a way within Confluence itself to schedule a copy of page(s) from one instance to another, but there are many add-ons that could help you with the task.

I would start by having a look at Bob Swift's Command Line Interface extension. You can have a look at Bob's response from this post here with information on how to do that.

Confluence Command Line Interface has copyPage action and you can use the targetServer parameter.

If needed, a UI can be constructed using techniques similar to: How to create or update pages with a run dialog

I've also tagged your post with the Atlassian Marketplace tag in case other users are aware of other add-ons that could help to accomplish this.

Kind regards,

Shannon
