I am using crowd with confluence as an interface to our corporate AD.  Active Directory contains 20,000 users.  I have a Crowd license of 500 users.  Crowd thinks that I am going to allow all 20,000 users in AD into my Atlassian apps.  In actuality,  I only want a small portion of my AD user community to use Crowd and Confluence.  How can I fix this problem?

Hi Chris,

I understand the Crowd license is being exceeded by a large LDAP user directory.

Only users who are allowed to log into applications count toward the license:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/crowdkb/how-are-crowd-users-counted-towards-the-application-user-limit-246481311.html

You can limit which users can use applications by group:

Thanks,

Ann
