Can CROWD be used with non-Atlassian web application [Solved]]

I'm considering applying SSO for a few of my web application. I have read about Crowd on a few website and was a little confused. Can Crowd work with any web application or Crowd only works with Atlassian products like Jira, Confluence, Bit Bucket, etc?
