I understand, according to:
Nested Groups in Crowd | Crowd Data Center 6.1 | Atlassian Documentation
that, when " Integrated applications [may] ask Crowd for a list of members in a group, Crowd will present all users who are members of the group and all users belonging its sub-groups, consolidated into one list, [called] a 'flattened' group, which is necessary because many integrated applications do not understand the concept of nested groups and "For that reason, Crowd makes the nesting transparent to integrated applications."
However, I have a need to list the actual group names of nested groups without their members. I have tried about 100 classes and methods but have been unable to make it work.
Has anyone successfully accomplished this? If so, how?
Please do not answer with speculative suggestions. Please only respond with processes that have been tried and have worked.
