My customer is using the Data Center version and was using Crowd's Internal Directory to manage users.
Recently, my customer was recommended by the security team to manage users in conjunction with LDAP. Therefore, I set the Directory type of Crowd to 'Delegated Authentication' to maintain the Group information and rights managed by Internal Directory in linking LDAP.
The customer's requirement is to ensure that even after linking LDAP, the history of users' comments, activities, and mentions previously defined in Internal Directory does not affect individual applications (Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket/Bamboo).
Therefore, to meet these requirements, we would like to update Crowd's Internal 'username' just like LDAP.
My question is what is the expected problem when changing 'username'. In Jira's case, I confirmed that the user's information that was mentioning was kept as 'username' before the change, and that the user profile link information was lost.
Is there any additional consideration for changing 'username'?
