Hi all,
On MoM pages I usually include the slides of any presentation given. Both PDF and powerpoint (PPTX) takes some time to load. Both previewing the page attachment and the Office Powerpoint Macro.
A secretary suggested to upload individual slides as PNG, which has the required performance but doesn't quite feel right to me.
Which way of including the PPTX / PDF yields the best performance?
Cheers,
I don't have priority to dig up those numbers and frankly I also don't see how these numbers would help.
What bandwidth and what server hardware specs do we require in order to percieve the same performance as the PNG workaround? Our IT folks could check if our set-up meets the requirements.
Without knowing the actual deployment it's nearly impossible to pinpoint it exactly but the following guide could be of help for a first start:
Thank you for the link to the recommendations. Unfortunately I am too dumb to figure out how I can determine the profile needed for a requirement like "I want a PDF or PPTX of 20 - 30 pages to be loaded in less than 1 second on average and incidently 2 seconds max"
Yeah, I see. That won't be possible in that sense I believe :)
The next step you could try is to scale the underlying system - checking with the System's Administrator if the server is healthy and memory should be added (for example).
