I use Jira to manage my team's activities with the Scrum methodology and Sprint control. Recently, tasks marked as 'done' are disappearing from the Sprint. This didn't happen before! This issue is making our work much harder. What could be happening?
Hello @Leonardo Freire de Andrade ,
Maybe the issue is likely due to Jira’s Sprint filtering settings or workflow status mapping. If tasks marked as "Done" have a Resolution set, Jira may automatically remove them from the active Sprint view. Try to check your board settings under "Column Constraints" to ensure completed tasks aren’t being hidden. Also, review Sprint reports and filters to confirm that done issues remain visible until the Sprint is closed.
In Jira, tasks marked as "Done" disappearing from the Sprint is typically due to board settings, workflow configurations, or Sprint auto-completion. By default, Jira removes completed tasks from the Active Sprint view once the Sprint is closed. To verify, check your board filter settings (Board Settings → General → Saved Filter) and ensure the JQL query isn’t excluding “Done” issues. Also, navigate to Board Settings → Columns to see if Jira is set to hide completed tasks after a specific timeframe. If the issue persists, confirm that tasks in the "Done" status have a proper Resolution set (e.g., “Completed” or “Fixed”). You can always view completed tasks in Sprint Reports under the Reports section. If nothing works, check with your Jira admin to review board permissions and settings.
