Yes. It's kludgy, but sort of possible. Atlassian has stated they are not interesting in expanding Crucible for document reviews, and they've removed the integration with Confluence so that work around is killed.
Here's what we do:
- Attach the Word file from Subversion
- Manually attach a PDF file called "Compare" that shows the Word review markups.
- All reviewers may optionally attach their own "redlined" markup copies to the review for clarity, but they must still record defects in the General comments section.
- Author makes changes and updates the outdated file in Crucible.
Anything with a large number of defects or complex changes can't be handled easily through this workaround. We end up scheduling a meeting to disposition the defects, and then JIRA issues to track closure of the more involved items.
I wish Atlassian would reconsider. I'd love to hear from anyone who has found a better way to do this.
