Hi,
I have a question regarding the integration between Jira and Fisheye.
Our Jira is installed on a tomcat and can only be accesed throw a Apache Web Server. This requires a Basic HTTP(S)-Authentification before you can login to Jira.
Does Fisheye support Basic HTTP(S)-Authentification? I have found no way to set up Fisheye to access Jira. Any ideas?
Best regards,
Andi
Hi Andreas,
Yes, FishEye supports Basic Authentication.
Have you already tried to import JIRA certificate into FishEye keystore?
Could you please let us know what error you see when trying to create the application link?
Cheers,
Felipe Kraemer
Hi Felipe,
thanks for you answear.
I will go more in detail. On https://mycompany.com/build/jira/ there is a Jira 5.0.6 running. Before I can login into Jira I have to submit a username and password. Then we customised our Jira to use that login (Single Sign on). So Jira us the Authentification to login to Jira.
Now we want to use Fisheye with that Jira. I installed it local on my windows machine and tried to connect with Jira.
- I used the SSLPoke Java program to verify if connection: Successfully connected
So i think thats not the problem.
After I added a Application Link I get the message that "Application 'ABC' seems to be offline. Click here to Relocate"
Then i went to Configure Action for the Application Link and added the Outgoing Authentifiaction "Basic Access".
But when I go to JIRA Settings and press test i get error message: "Communication error while talking to JIRA: null - please ensure that (1) your JIRA server running and (2) you have enabled JIRA's remote API."
I have found out that you can only access the Jira with the following URL https://mycompany.com/build/jira/ but Fisheye cuts off the last "/" from the Application URL.
Best regards,
Andi

Hi,
I still couldn't figure it out why it's not working. When I installed the Eclipse Jira Connector and point it to the installed Jira URL and use the Authentification User/Password it works.
So Fisheye dont work, Eclipse connector does.
Best regards,
Andi
