Fresh out of EDUCAUSE, a recurring theme was a resounding interest in more peer networking and collaboration opportunities.
Led by Atlassian's Head of Public Sector Sales, JSM, we’re excited to introduce the Atlassian Public Sector Special Interest Group (SIG)—a dedicated space for sharing best practices, exploring innovative use cases, and building networks across government and higher education. This provides an opportunity to connect with peers in higher education and the broader public sector who are leveraging Atlassian tools to solve complex challenges, automate workflows, and drive collaboration.
Please note: This SIG is a separate opportunity from our regular community events. It serves as an additional way to engage with peers in higher education and the broader public sector, offering even more chances to learn, share, and collaborate.
First Meeting: December 9th at 1:00 PM EST
Our kickoff event features Will Harris from the University of Connecticut (UConn)—a longtime Atlassian partner and heavy user of Jira Service Management across all IT teams. Will’s session will cover:
The business issues UConn faced and what they set out to solve
Their decision criteria and evaluation process for selecting Atlassian
Key use cases and the value realized with Jira Service Management
Best practices, lessons learned, and recommendations for other institutions
What’s next on UConn’s roadmap for Atlassian tools
