There is a way to highlight predecessor/successor features by linking them together.  Documentation follows: https://help.jiraalign.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001143854-10X-Create-Work-Item-Links

Yes, it is possible, but seldom done.  Dependencies are much more powerful.
