Level of Access to Create Intake Form in JIRA Align

Tee Bee July 29, 2023

Can someone please tell me the level of access/entitlement I need to create an Intake form in JIRA Align? I am unable to create one in the program. I do not have the necessary prompts. for example, I do not see these prompts on the Portfolio tab:

On the Portfolio tab, click Manage Here next to Epic Intake Set

Thanks

Hi @Tee Bee

These are the instructions to create an intake form - can you use these? - https://help.jiraalign.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000370653-Create-intake-sets

I'd envisage as it's administration you need to be a "Super Admin"

@Tee Bee Just as an FYI, you don't need to be a Super Admin to "Manage Ideation Forms", however you do have to have 2 things:

  • The Logged in Users Role must have the "Manage Groups" option toggled on in the Enterprise --> Manage --> Ideation --> Manage Groups (see screenshot 1 below).
    • This provides the Role the "rights" to be able to manage both the forms and Ideation Groups.
    • Without this, the user would not have the "Set-up" option inside Ideation (screenshot 2)
  • The Logged in User must be either an Administrator or Internal Contributor inside the given Ideation Group (see screenshot 3 below)
    • This provides the individual person access to a given Ideation Group (or groups).
    • Without this the user would not have the "Ideation Group Name" to select (screenshot 2)
