Can two teams in two Jira instances share the same ART?

Jira Align is connected to two Jira Software instances (through two connectors). And two different teams are working on the two Jira Software instances (each team in a Jira instance). The two teams need to work on the same ART. 

Is this configuration possible in Jira Align? if yes, how can it be achieved?

This configuration is not currently supported in Jira Align. There may be synchronization issues if information is in different Jira instances.

Is it possible for your organization to sync the issues between the two Jira instances using a third party application?  You would then be able sync the teams board to Jira Align.

Adding on to @Allan Maxwell's answer. Here's a list of possible apps you can use for synchronizing your issues. You can configure exactly the data what you'd like to share.
