We're posting this article in preparation for the launch of the Jira Product Discovery Premium plan.
While the JPD Standard edition is best suited for individual product teams, the JPD Premium edition is best suited for product organizations, allowing them to scale the adoption of JPD to multiple product teams so they can work in lockstep.
It’s structured around the following pillars:
1️⃣ Visibility for product leaders: give product leaders easy access to their product organization roadmaps so they can view product-level initiatives centrally, and ensure each product team is focused on high-impact ideas that ladder up to their product strategy.
2️⃣ Standardize with ease: enable program/product operations managers to standardize and enforce the right PM practice across the entire PM organization, so that all roadmaps are easy to parse by senior leaders without repetitive manual set-up.
3️⃣Unified admin experience: provide Atlassian admins with more capabilities to administer and manage JPD at scale for their product orgs, in a unified experience across Premium plans for all Atlassian products.
To help product organizations scale their product management practice across teams, we are introducing a set of features, described below.
Roadmaps give product leadership better visibility into initiatives across multiple product teams by aggregating roadmaps across different projects into a single view.

Hierarchies allow you to map relationships between opportunities, solutions, and initiatives to prioritize more effectively, align teams, and ensure you’re solving the right problems at every level.

We wrote an implementation guide to explain how to set up JPD across your product teams so that you can standardize how they work and give visibility to product leaders.
