Question for the JPD crew from Atlassian,
Is it possible to submit an idea concerning further granulating permissions/access within JPD? I have a team that want to involve different subject matter experts in at different parts of the discovery process. However, the process they are asking for would require a level of granular permissions that just aren't possible in the current state and there doesn't appear to be anything for this in your public roadmap for JPD....
So here's my ever hopeful wishlist;
- Ability to provide editing rights to the Description field separate from the other fields. This would allow users who's ideas may have changed or morphed to modify just the description field (extra points if this could be restricted just to the original submitter). This would save admin's from having to copy and paste from Comments or Insights and it means that we could be more selective on who changes what.
- Lock down certain fields from being modified past a certain point in the workflow or outside of a selected group of users. So if decision has been made by a group of SME's and the idea has moved past the ideation point towards prepping for delivery, the scoped metrics can't be changed unless the idea is brought backwards in the workflow.
Thanks in advance
Thank you @Kate - those are not on the roadmap currently but we'll consider them when we revisit these features.
I'd vote for this! Currently I have 2 creator roles, to restrict a mess of views, but I definitely would love a bit more granularity to ensure separation of duties.
