I'm reaching out to inquire about any recent enhancements to the Timeline view feature, particularly regarding the Ideas Breakdown.
Our team heavily relies on the product discovery tool for managing our roadmap, and we're keen on visualizing the timeline plan at the epic level.
Presently, we encounter situations where there are multiple epics under one idea.
Additionally, we utilize specific fields within Jira Software to streamline our timeline management process, for example: Original Target Date, Latest Target Date and Start Dare(based on the first US start date when assigned to Sprint).
Consequently, we're interested in exploring the optimal method for displaying the timeline based on the epic level within Jira Product Discovery (JPD).
Thank you!
Hi @Liora Naginsky I think you can solve for your use case using the date autofill feature. Please see this demo to see how it's done.

Enjoy it

JPD is perfect for this, all EPICS are linked to an IDEA (I suggest to OM, change it to DEMAND, which in my opinion is bigger than an IDEA),
Step 1: In the delivery tab there will be an important link, between ideas and EPICS (see step 9)
Step 2: Carry out demand assessment considering a Matrix, RICE, MoSCow, etc..
Step 3: See the effort versus impact assessment matrix
Step 4: I recommend automation in these cases so that you have an order and priority for each demand, for example MoSCoW,
Step 5: Create the Framework using the MoSCoW Matrix, and the quadrant will have to contain demands such as DO IT NOW,
Step 6: Not everything will fit into the roadmap, depending on how you use it, per quarter is always good,
Step 7: Create the Schedule per quarter
Step 8: see that here you can quantify how many demands remain to be met (high level)
Step 9: It's time to create the EPICs, just for what you're going to do.
Step 10: Understand the flow of the idea<
Step 11; Use the delivery schedule block and you're done
